The scope of this training program is to enable students to gain
the knowledge to develop safe inspection and operating techniques
on mobile cranes. We have an American R213 mobile hydraulic crane
on site for hands-on training. Topics include:
- Daily, Monthly and Annual Inspection – Report/forms and
documentation requirements
- Operator Responsibilities and Duties
- Wire Rope and Rigging
- Crane Set-Up and Capacities
- Operating Limitations and Practical Working Loads
- Manbasket Operation and Safety Requirements (OSHA)
- Major Accident Causes
- Crane Standards – OSHA/ASME/ANSI/PCSA/SAE
- Examination and Certification
Rigging and Wire Rope Training
- How to Select the Proper Sling and Rigging Hardware for a Specific
Task
- How to Properly Attach a Load.
- Types of Slings and Rigging Hardware
- Critical Lift Planning
- Sling Angle Stress
- Inspection of Slings and Rigging Hardware
Classes are kept small to allow for individual questions and hands-on
training.
Costs: $565.00 for the 3-day class or $855.00 for 5-days (both
overhead and mobile)

This is classroom and hands-on training, so appropriate dress is
required. We can provide information on hotels close to our facility
